High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS)

The global exploration for new surface, subsea oil and gas reserves has exposed clients to operate, increasingly, with high pressure, high temperature (HPHT) scenarios.

The HIPPS installation is a Safety Instrumented System of Control (SIS) which senses upset conditions and immediately isolates the source of high pressure, protecting the downstream system from pressure surges. Thus, allowing for existing flowlines to be controlled or new to be de-rated to conventional levels.

HIPPS application is considered to be the ideal solution for asset protection and enhanced safety where pressure relief devices are impractical.

Accordingly we ensure that every HIPPS package that we supply is in accordance with industry standards and meets with the required SIL rating.
