SVS Supports Finlay’s Fund with Charity Donation
We are delighted to announce that SVS has proudly presented a cheque for £1,123.75 to Finlay’s Fund, one of four local charities we supported through our recent fundraising efforts.
At SVS, giving back to the community has always been a core part of our values. During our 20th Anniversary celebration, we hosted a series of raffles and auctions, which collectively raised an incredible £4,495.00. This total was equally split between four deserving local charities. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for your generosity, which has made a real difference.
A Cause Close to Our Hearts
For SVS Managing Director Gerry Henry, this donation carried a very personal meaning. “This charity is a very important one to me and my family personally,” Gerry shared. “We have known Finlay and his family for many years and wanted to donate the money to Finlay’s Fund to provide continued day-to-day support for Finlay.”
What is Finlay’s Fund?
Finlay’s Fund is an Aberdeenshire-based charity dedicated to supporting Finlay Sangster, a young boy living with cerebral palsy—a complex neurological condition.
The charity helps provide ongoing financial support to cover the cost of vital therapy, specialist equipment, and care that Finlay requires daily.
Remarkably, the fund began in 2009 following a successful one-off event. Finlay’s parents quickly realized how expensive the right support and equipment would be. In response, they created a lasting charitable initiative.
Thanks to the dedication of volunteer committee members, the Fund has grown stronger and continues to make a meaningful impact.

Because of generous donations like this one, Finlay’s Fund can continue helping Finlay thrive. With consistent access to therapy and resources, his quality of life significantly improves. Every contribution plays a role in his journey toward greater independence and wellbeing.

During the night we also held various raffles in aid of charity and raised a colossal £4,748.50 for the following local charities. Thank you to all who contributed, it means a lot to us.
