Corporate Charity Support
we believe in giving back
At Specialist Valve Services (SVS), we believe in giving back to the community, especially during the festive season. Rather than sending traditional Christmas cards this year, we have chosen to offer meaningful foodbank support and mental health assistance by donating to two local organisations: Inchgarth Community Centre Foodbank and Mental Health Aberdeen.
While the holiday season brings joy to many, it also highlights the difficulties faced by countless families and individuals. As 2021 draws to a close, the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic remain evident. Therefore, we wanted to make a contribution that could have a real impact in our local area.

Why We Chose Foodbank Support This Year
With rising living costs and continued economic strain, food insecurity has become an urgent issue for many communities. Inchgarth Community Centre Foodbank plays a vital role in supporting those who are struggling to meet basic needs. By providing food parcels and essential items, the foodbank helps reduce pressure on families throughout Aberdeen and surrounding areas.
Our team at SVS recognises the importance of dignity and accessibility when it comes to community services. As such, we are proud to contribute to a cause that directly supports individuals who are most in need, particularly over the winter months when demand for foodbank services increases sharply.

Supporting Mental Health in Challenging Times
In addition to foodbank support, we are also pleased to donate to Mental Health Aberdeen (MHA). Mental health has been a growing concern throughout the pandemic, with more people experiencing stress, isolation, and anxiety than ever before. MHA offers vital counselling and support services for adults and young people across the region.
By donating to MHA, we aim to support the incredible work they do in providing guidance, professional help, and public education to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. We believe that mental wellbeing is just as important as physical health, and we encourage others to support MHA’s ongoing efforts in the community.
